I am a determined and hard-working full-stack developer. In December 2018 I completed an immersive 14 week 1000+ hour software developer program at Coding Dojo where I studied Python, C#, and MEAN. I have a passion for problem solving and and enjoy working through a challenge, either on my own or with a team. Previously, I have worked in management, training, and customer service. I have been responsible for training new hires as well as managing and reconciling daily transactions. I studied Chemical Engineering at The Evergreen State College before turning my focus on software development. My goal is to join a team of engineers where I can continue to learn and contribute to building tools and solutions to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

A personal passion of mine is training and teaching martial arts. I hold a black belt in Kenpo Karate, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I also enjoy cooking, fermenting kombucha and foods, playing video games, and a plethora of television shows (particularly sci-fi). I am a bit of a coffee and beer nerd, and love sharing these experiences with friends and family. Fascinated by language, I speak Spanish and am currently learning Mandarin.
